Before buying bath tints, check that they're the type that don't streak or stain your bath. Most bath tint products should be water soluble, so you should not have any issues with the enamel on your bath becoming stained or discolored. However, it's always wise to ensure that the product is okay to use in your bathroom.

Test a small amount first before filling a whole bath with the dye. In addition, while these products are usually hypoallergenic, you should make sure that your children won't have an allergic reaction to the dye. Put a small amount of the dye in a bowl, and have your child dip an elbow in it. Wait a while to ensure that no reaction occurs. If there is a reaction, don't exposure your child any further to the dye.

A very severe reaction may require medical assistance, but this is generally quite an unlikely scenario as the dye tends to be quite mild and is developed with children in mind. However, ensure that you keep the dye out of reach when you are not around to make sure that your children do not ingest it, or use it directly on furniture or bathroom fittings that could become stained.
